Therefore you should think of the sportsbook you are considering as a bank – a place that you intend to keep funds long term.

I would say that US bettors are at most risk since they are generally forced to bet at offshore sportsbooks due to legality issues. Often these website owners know nothing about betting, do not hold accounts with the sportsbooks they are advertising and have not researched the companies they are involved with.
“How to Choose the Right Sportsbook!”
by: Daniel B. Sometimes this means added solidity.
What are the deposit and withdrawal options and the associated charges.
Find out if the sportsbook is part of a larger group of companies. Options should be available that are ‘free’ or where the sportsbook absorbs the charges. These vary quite a bit from book to book. But ask yourself ; “how easy is it to get access to my money and how much does it cost?”
Not all the above are critical – but help towards finding a secure book. I also like SportingBet (www.SBSportsbook.com) who take US customers and cater for global sports.
You are keeping your money in an account online.
Read press articles as opposed to reviews – reviews are usually written by the sportsbook’s marketing team.
Test run the software by joining and playing for free – most sportsbooks offer this facility.
Find out if your funds are insured or separated in ESCROW accounts so that if the sportsbook company goes under – your funds are still safe.
Find out if the sportsbook is independently audited.
How long has the operation been online – three to four years is usually a good marker as a minimum.
Test out the customer services to see if they meet your standards or the standards they promise you.
If you know about betting already, then check some of their odds and lines – are they in keeping with what you would expect? Some less scrupulous sportsbooks offer very attractive prices to lure unsuspecting bettors. I have had at least three online sportsbooks go broke on me – luckily my losses were kept to a few thousand dollars – that may sound a lot but it could have been a lot worse.
. The offshore books with whom I work are top grade but it is in the offshore environment that problems occasionally occur. It is, therefore, critical that those US customers put in the research before signing up.
So you have decided to start betting online – or maybe you just want to find a new trustworthy sportsbook – what do you need to look out for?
Well I am in a position to speak from some experience – I did at one time hold accounts with about sixty bookmakers in Europe, UK, Australia and offshore – the latter catering mainly to the US market.
If you have already have an account with a sportsbook watch out for lapses in customer service and slowness of payment – these can be signs that the company could be in trouble.

So what do you look for:
It is not that easy finding a reputable sportsbook – partly because the web is populated by website owners who will sing the praises of a sportsbook or casino simply because they earn revenue from signing up customers via an affiliate program. King

It’s hard for thinking, feeling human beings to understand the true nature of someone who is unable to love and unable to empathize. I grew up surrounded by them.
Who Are We? The Ones Who Get Sucked In?
How do they weave their spell? How does a strong, intelligent and grounded woman or man get sucked into the black hole of someone else’s insatiable psyche? It’s easy, if you’re used to Narcissists. A father who is a compulsive gambler and liar – someone who takes self interest to a whole new level. I started to ask questions, set boundaries and I was not cooperating to her satisfaction, so I was dismissed. Most of us have filters, and we know when we’re hurting someone and try to make amends. A narcissist doesn’t understand the concept of making amends, because they truly are never wrong. We try to modify our behavior so that we don’t make the same mistakes. Those of us who know them intimately have become masters of looking the other way, of making excuses, of refusing to see ugly when ugly is standing right in front of us waving an enormous red flag..
Whether Male or Female, The Narcissist is a Nightmare
They say that 75% of Narcissists are men. I got a first hand glimpse at a female narcissist and it took about a year into our two-year relationship for me to start wondering whether I was actually losing my mind. There is no experience quite as humbling as giving your all to a relationship and discovering that the other person was not remotely committed to you or the relationship. The other 25% are women, and they are just as deadly. A mother, who I love dearly, but would best be classified as a benign narcissist. Then last, but by no means least, a grandmother who lived nearby who could suck the life out of a room with just one or two vicious comments. Everything I believed about myself was called into question: How I looked, how I ate, how I functioned – normally quite well thank you – but not when I’m under siege. It does not occur to them.
. It wasn’t so much a breakup as a dismissal. While it’s slowly dawns on you that you weren’t quite paying attention, they’ve already moved on.
Any gambling game that allows you to play for an imaginary amount of money is a great site to rid yourself of those gambling urges. A great example of a quick and fun online game in many of the above genres including racing and simulation are the games provided to Facebook by Zynga games.
Almost all games that are extremely popular have moved from the two dimensional side scrolling action to full 3D, allowing the player to take full advantage of their hardware and play in amazingly rendered environments.. Real online gambling can be fun too, however that is another topic that needs its own precautions and safeties.
An example of an interesting 3d adult online games are hentai games
2. First-person Shooter – Battle Forge
In the multi-billion dollar industry of gaming, online games have a real small place in which to grow, however their presence remains ever expanding and there are always going to be new and fancier games almost daily to locate and play on the expanse known to the world as the “web”.
MMOG or (Massively Multiplayer Online Games) are extremely popular and you can now join for free and play many of them. However not all adult games have to be raunchy and distasteful. The 5 basic game types available online to the web crawler to enjoy are;
Gambling games are self explanatory. Companies are growing ever more aware of the increasing popularity of online gaming seeing that many web users are taking full advantage, playing and entertaining themselves online.
Racing/simulation games are often one and the same as a hybrid racing game and most online games allow you to customize your vehicle, race, earn cash, gas, and other strategic factors to play their game.
“Battle Forge” is a card based strategy and MMOG game. These hybrid games are evolving because the niches for a specific brand is small and many players look for as many facets of gaming in one source to enjoy.
No doubt, the best available online games are the ones that allow minimal personal input from the user and allow free play, unless more participation is accepted and wanted by the user. Games like “Battle forge” and “Battlefield Heroes” for example, allow the players to join and play for free, with “perks” being the addition of customizations purchased from the developers for points, in exchange for money; much like Microsoft’s point system. Some developers realized that there are adults who surf the web and may need a fifteen minute break here and there. “Battlefield Heroes” is a first person / MMOG game that has evolved to incorporate role-playing and customization to enhance the online experience of the players as well as provide them with a unique online presence.
There are various resources for finding and playing an assortment of online games available to the web crawler today. These online games are quick and fun to play and are simple yet addicting.
Adult/gambling/erotic games are also gaining ground online, as most things in this genre live on the web these days. Games like strip poker, date games and other 3D anime/hentai like games are very popular for the 18+ crowd
1. It also feels so good if you win competitions. You won’t be tempted to watch YouTube videos if you also spend less time with your PC. And if you can afford it, spend a night in the mountains camping or even travel outside the state or outside of the country.
6. Have someone set it for you. But how? Use subliminal messages. In fact, it can increase your self-confidence, plus you’re forced to spend more time with your friends and perhaps your family. Further, to make sure you don’t delete the plug-in, you can look for a tool that allows you to add passwords. Spend less time in front of the PC. Encourage yourself to just do it. Unless you have the will to get rid of your YouTube addiction, you’ll never be able to do it. This video-sharing website has garnered millions of followers all over the world, for only a very short time. If you’re a dad, creating furniture and fixtures may be an exciting hobby, which may even turn into a profitable venture. You can no longer complete your tasks, you spend less time on productive activities, and you may even distance yourself from your loved ones. Choose a hobby. Try being in the outdoors at least an hour a day. It’s not really surprising that you’ll end up suffering from depression and a lot of stress later. . Just block it. Every time you check on YouTube, you’ll end up having an error page. Go to the outdoors. If you’re a mom, arts and crafts would be perfect. A lot of websites and plug-ins can already do that for you. You can share the hobby with your kids.
Yes, you don’t watch a lot of television but you’re spending too much time in YouTube. Take up a sport. If you don’t like sports, then at least pursue a hobby, and hopefully it doesn’t involve computers. If you spend 8 hours with it, you can reduce it to 6 or 5.
Now just imagine how it can affect you personally. If you don’t want to watch any YouTube videos, then just block the website from your computer.
2. A sport can be a good motivator for you to spend less time with YouTube.
But how do you exactly get rid of YouTube addiction? Here are seven tips:
5. You don’t have to cut everything off suddenly. Affirmations have a way of changing your present mind-set from “cannot” to “can.” The moment you wake up, say the following lines:

Today, I will spend more time with friends and family.
Today, I’ll relax and spend my day with a lot of quiet and peace.
3. There are a lot of things you can do outside of your home, but you’re missing all of them since you’re just there, watching YouTube
It could end early if researchers are able to prove or disprove their theory sooner.
It is being headed by Temple University Hospital’s chief of surgery, Dr. Amy Goldberg, who has treated thousands of shooting victims in the three decades she has worked in Philadelphia.
Now, in a bold effort to stem the bloodshed, several Philadelphia hospitals are about to conduct a citywide experiment that will ask: When gunshot or stabbing victims are being rushed to the emergency room by ambulance, could paramedics do more to save them by doing less?
The Temple surgeon patiently laid out her case, even as she acknowledged the selection process is “like the flip of a coin.” Retrospective studies, she said, have shown that gunshot and stabbing victims given basic life support – such as an oxygen mask, CPR or immobilization – had an 18 percentage-point survival advantage over those given advanced procedures, such as intubation, in an ambulance.
Philadelphians who don’t want to participate in the study if they are ever wounded can opt out by wearing wristbands indicating their wishes. Patrick Reilly, trauma chief at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, a study partner, said doctors and society tend to think more is better.
Normally, paramedics intubate patients to keep their airway open, and give IV fluids to counteract a drop in blood pressure. “This might be a situation where more isn’t better.”
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — In all of last year, there were only 22 days when someone wasn’t shot in Philadelphia. Nearly 1 in 5 victims died.
The study, involving all six of Philadelphia’s trauma hospitals, has been exempted from the Food and Drug Administration’s informed-consent rules, which require research subjects to be told the risks and benefits and to give permission in advance – something not feasible with gravely wounded people.
Some paramedics have opted out of participating.
A version of this experimental approach is already in place.
For a generation, many Philadelphia police officers, instead of waiting for an ambulance, have been taking shooting and stabbing victims to the ER in their cruisers, a practice known as “scoop-and-run.” Data from the longstanding practice helped inform the surgeons proposing this study.
Organizers had to meet certain requirements before launching the study, including getting approval from city and hospital review boards that oversee research on humans, holding community meetings and informing a certain percentage of the public.
Karen Maschke, a scholar at the Hastings Center, a medical ethics think tank in suburban New York City, said the experiment appears ethically sound.
Dr. But supporters of the study say that for victims who are bleeding through an open wound, these procedures may cause an increase in blood pressure that can accelerate blood loss and death.
“Getting to the emergency room, where equipment and experts are waiting, is a really critical window, especially for people with any kind of wound that involves bleeding,” said Maschke, editor of the journal IRB: Ethics & Human Research. Of those victims, nearly 700 were black men ages 18 to 34.
During the study, paramedics treating adults who have been shot or stabbed in the torso will, on a random basis, not insert a tube down a victim’s throat or administer intravenous fluids – two traditional life-saving techniques some doctors say may actually harm such patients.
Temple has been working for five years to set up the study. They can obtain a wristband by filling out a form online or on paper.
“If we said we were going to give another medicine, people would tend to go, ‘Let’s see if this works,'” he said. “Sometimes that’s going to mean you can’t stop and ask people if it’s OK.”
“If this is not a public health crisis, I don’t know what is,” she said.
It’s a counterintuitive approach that could test long-held beliefs and change practices at trauma centers across the country.
Yanitza Gonzalez, a councilwoman’s representative, chimed in: “It’s almost like we’re gambling with people’s lives.”
Last year, there were 236 homicides in Philadelphia and more than 1,200 shootings, or one roughly every seven hours. Zoe Maher, a Temple trauma surgeon, has been giving presentations at community forums.
Joann Taylor, a block captain, retorted: “We’re already gambling with people’s lives.”
And every resident of or visitor to Philadelphia could become a study subject, though the biggest effect will probably be in the most violent neighborhoods – poor, mostly black sections where people are skeptical of essentially being experimented on.
“You’re using people to do this study,” said Charles Lanier, head of a neighborhood revitalization group. Her audience was initially dubious.
The study is expected to start in the fall and last five years, or until doctors have about 1,000 patients, whichever comes first. As part of the process, Dr. “I hear what you’re saying, but in the interim, you’re still sacrificing somebody to prove which (method) is better.”
“All of the evidence we have points to us being right, but if we are wrong, we will end the study early,” Maher told the community group.
Maher, who is white, gave a 20-minute slideshow at a recent meeting in Hunting Park, a largely black and Hispanic neighborhood
The Scarlet Knights will send two new young players into the starting lineup this season, in red-shirt freshman Brandon Coleman and sophomore Tim Wright. Here is a quick preview of what the Scarlet Knights will look like this season, plus my prediction on where they finish the year in the Big East. Despite the strong finish in 2009 the Knights were just 3-4 in conference play, a big disappointment for a team that was picked by a lot of experts to win the Big East last season. We will find out just how good this kid is in 2010, as the Scarlet Knights have to reload up front on the offensive line. The rest of the Big East teams better beat the Knights while they can, as this team is primed to be one of the top teams in the conference in 2011 and 2012 with so many young playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Ncaa Basketball Predictions 2011
The Scarlet Knights also bring back one of the top running backs in the Big East in junior Joe Martinek, who ran for a team best 967 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore. Sanu was also a big factor in the running game, with 348 yards and five more touchdowns. Savage has already earned a spot atop the top quarterbacks in the Big East, and you have to believe he is only going to put up better numbers in his second season.
At wide receiver the Scarlet Knights will have to replace Tim Brown, who had a monster senior season with 1,150 yards and nine touchdowns. Look for sophomore De’Antwan Williams to be more of a factor this season, after rushing for 235 yards and one score as a true freshman.
The Scarlet Knights lost one of the top corners in the country in Devin McCourty, and there is no question they will struggle to replace his production. The Knights do bring back one of the top left tackles in the conference in junior Art Frost, but there are plenty of holes that need to be filled before the season gets underway. Junior Eric LeGrand and sophomore Scott Vallone return at the two starting defensive tackle spots, and they also get back two talented players on the outside in senior defensive ends Jonathan Freeny and Alex Silvestro.
At linebacker the Scarlet Knights will have to find a new starter at both middle linebacker and on the strong side, as the only returning starter to this unit is senior weak-side linebacker Antonio Lowery. It looks like red-shirt freshman Darrell Givens will get the first crack at replacing McCourty, as he is projected to step in and start opposite of junior David Rowe.
Quarterback Tom Savage made the 2009 Freshmen All- American team after throwing for 2,211 yards with a solid 14-7 touchdown to interception ratio. Sophomore Steve Beauharnais looks to have the early edge in the middle, while junior Manny Abreu figures to step at the open weak-side linebacker spot.
After finishing 9-4 in 2009, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights enter 2010 off five straight winning seasons. The Knights bring back starting strong safety Joe Lefeged, and he figures to be one of the top safeties in all of the Big East this season. Ncaa Basketball Predictions 2011. Ncaa Basketball Predictions 2011
The Scarlet Knights figure to be strong up front on the defensive side of the ball, as they return three of four starters to a defense that allowed just 103 yards per game on the ground. The Scarlet Knights will return just 12 starters for the 2010 season, but with another relatively easy non-conference schedule I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Knights finish with a winning record again in 2010. Sophomore Khaseem Greene is projected to take over at the vacated free safety spot.
Ncaa Basketball Predictions 2011
Prediction – 4th Big East: The Knights have the chance to be the surprise team in the Big East this season, but a lot will depend on the production they get out of the offensive line and the newcomers on the defensive side of the ball. At tight end sophomore DC Jefferson returns, and figures to make a much bigger impact in his second season as a starter.
There is no question that the Scarlet Knights are loaded with young talent at the skill positions, but none of that will really matter if the offensive line doesn’t produce. The front runner to step in and have a big season for the Scarlet Knights on the outside is sophomore Mohamed Sanu, who finished up 2009 with 51 catches for 639 yards and three touchdowns. The Knights do have road games against four of the top teams in the Big East, as they must travel to take on Pitt, USF, Cincinnati, and West Virginia
There is some merit to that. Jahlil Okafor missed 35 percent of the season, played some of the worst big-man defense in NBA history and exacerbated an internal crisis with embarrassing off-court behavior. Kawhi Leonard
3. Both engineer decent shots from nothing, but only LeBron can steamroll to the rim almost whenever he wants. What a season.
Choosing Millsap for the No. Barton outshot Crawford despite a late-season slump, revved up Denver in transition, rebounded like a power forward and defended more reliably across both wing positions. Karl-Anthony Towns
2. They don’t think of him much at all, really. And alas, DeAndre Jordan is not quite as good as his reputation.
Mahinmi doubled his career assist total, nearly doubled his scoring average and obliterated almost every past statistical marker — all while maintaining his SMOTHERED CHICKEN presence around the rim on defense. Andre Iguodala
2. No team plays, and lives, with a better spirit. pro sports leagues, and at the top, that’s true. But you could imagine these Warriors playing good defense without Green; they did under Mark Jackson, using a more traditional scheme. There isn’t much difference between them statistically, and Durant reclaimed some control of the Thunder offense once Billy Donovan started staggering the Westbrook/Durant minutes in February. They switch and re-switch without cracking open even the teeniest lanes. It’s a little corny how Boston’s Stevens talks about wanting players to “soar with their strengths,” but he lives up to the motivational mantra. You cannot imagine Golden State with a league-average point guard in Curry’s place. He envelopes opponents, and he’d be the captain of my Mirror Guy team for defenders who move in such exact sync with a ball handler, it almost appears as if the ball handler is dueling with a reflection.
1. He’s a slick passer from the post, the elbows and in transition.
But he has developed into the keystone of the league’s stingiest defense since Jan. C.J. Only Rick Carlisle, a confirmed warlock, and perhaps now Kerr can touch Pop’s in-game strategy and lineup optimization.
Durant gets the nod by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin. He logs about 21 minutes per game, the same as Kanter, and half-dozen fewer than Tristan Thompson, his burlier doppelgänger in Cleveland, working the same role as a hybrid, rim-running big.
This was just a brutal category.
But Crawford is barely shooting 40 percent from the floor. They are active with such synchronization; you barely notice the activity. McCollum is really a Category 1 type on a one-year delay, but unlike a lot of young guys thrust into larger roles, he’s pulling this as the second-best player on a playoff team. Young players get better with experience, and they get to play more.
Crawford’s limitations on defense matter even more when he plays with those guys, since that means he’s probably also playing against opposing starters — lineups that might not offer him a safe hiding spot.
The final spot came down to a bunch of guys whose teams play together, play hard and know who they are: Stotts, Dwane Casey, Brad Stevens, Steve Clifford, Erik Spoelstra, Dave Joerger, Quin Synder, Stan Van Gundy, Mike Budenholzer and Carlisle. Will Barton
3. Green can play up a position for entire games if need be, and that is the launch code to basketball’s nuclear bomb: the Death Lineup, with Green as a sneering, rampaging, fast-breaking center, and shooters raining death around him.
This is partly a multiyear achievement award for Kerr and Popovich, and it should be. Stephen Curry
2. By some measures, the dude is wrapping up one of the best all-around seasons ever for a rookie center. Some combination of injuries, infighting and confusion undid Washington, New Orleans and Phoenix. He stabilized the team’s iffy defense with some key midseason tweaks, including a few that nudged players into uncomfortable new challenges. They respect Paul, but they don’t shudder at the possibility of him smashing through their entire team — and the concept of normal basketball — for two or three pivotal minutes.
This is like choosing between Elastic Man and a fire-breathing version of The Thing. If you’re looking for a high-volume chaos engine, this is your guy.
Yeah, Iguodala will end up missing 25 percent of the season. Cousins could crack this ballot if he tried hard all the time. The bigs who might normally displace him have battled injuries, or slipped a bit from peak form: Joakim Noah, Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka, Rudy Gobert, Andrew Bogut, Tim Duncan, Anthony Davis and a few others. 1 — a jack-of-all-trades with the speed to extinguish pick-and-rolls 30 feet from the basket, glue-trap hands that rip more steals than almost any big man in league history, and the guts to initiate an airborne collision at the rim. He is much better than his traditional numbers suggest. 6 seed after losing four starters is perhaps the happiest story of the season. Without further ado:
MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
Stotts empowers players to stretch themselves in his whirring motion offense, knowing that if they feel involved on that end, they’ll buy into the grunt work. 2 slot. LeBron can be the fastest all-court defender in the league when he wishes; remember, he outperformed computerized ghost defenders programmed to be perfect!
Below that stratosphere, team identity and culture are fragile. He doesn’t snap at teammates or manufacture chaos with calculated, passive-aggressive social media fits. He had never started more than 12 games, and he entered this season with 107 career assists; ask him to throw a quick-hitter on the move, and he was more likely to fling the ball five rows deep in the stands.
Now, he’s doing stuff like this:
Porzingis can’t match Jokic’s advanced numbers, and he actually shot a tick worse from downtown. Remember: I was touting Whiteside early in the season when commentators who didn’t bother digging into even one layer of context would robotically recite the stat showing the Heat defended better with Whiteside on the bench.
Traditionally, this is an award for gunners. He works as a co-point guard off the bench, defends the other team’s best wing players, drains 40-plus percent of his corner 3s when Curry is on the floor and shares a genius-level defensive mind-meld with Green.
Advanced stats wonks have argued he should win the award, and he has a strong case to leapfrog Porzingis for the No. Green is the yapping nervous system of that defense.
Confession: I had no idea what to do with this award once Iguodala started missing games — and with Whiteside ineligible.
Kanter might win the damn thing, and I’d have no problem with that. You could build an argument for James Harden, carrying the wheezing wraith of Houston on his back, but he showed up out of shape and played zippo defense for a would-be contender about to limp into the No. Ian Mahinmi
Westbrook is incredible, and he might finish in the top three once the votes are in. Myles Turner is coming off the bench again.
Walker vowed for years he would do this. Draymond Green
2. Iguodala laps the field as a playmaker and defender. He has been a two-way force with the inside-outside skill set a big-man star needs in the modern NBA. Kevin Durant
5. Paul can’t match Westbrook’s gaudy triple-double numbers, or turn a game on its head with 45 seconds of snarling athleticism. LeBron resides in another universe as a passer. Terry Stotts
There isn’t a case for anyone else. But Porzingis logged nearly 400 more minutes and did heavy lifting as the No. He’s a horse on the glass, always does his job in transition and plays hard on every damn possession.
Also: Win 72 games — and maybe 73! — and I break my long-standing rule of voting for Popovich every season.
Lowry became a superstar, always in hunched motion, waiting to spring into open space when you take a breath. Chris Paul
I haven’t wrapped my head around what to do with the second type — notably Curry, Green and Leonard. Isolating a coach’s work from Halloween through tax day is a strange conceit.
1. It takes nurturing over years. He has remade himself into a natural fit for Stotts’ catch-and-go system, and works hard on defense.
I have an official ballot again this year, so these votes count. The Blazers don’t rise from the ashes without McCollum maturing into a borderline star.
Defenders have to chase Walker over picks, and that means he can ankle-break his way into the paint — drawing help and opening up 3-point looks for Charlotte’s army of shooters. He’s like a five-tool center! If he’s not a top-15 player already, he’s going to be soon.
The bedrock principles of San Antonio’s culture have been unassailable for 20 years. He blew them away. Do that now, and Walker is roasting you from deep.
I gravitate toward the squishy middle — mid-career guys who make an overall leap, or hone one key skill that unlocks other parts of their game. We don’t do a good enough job noting the other three or four bets that come up snake eyes, leaving shooters open and hanging teammates out to dry. Westbrook’s decision-making at money time can be scattershot.
The Warriors’ offense falls apart without Curry, and for the second straight season, opponents outscored Golden State — by a huge margin — with Curry on the bench. Other teams fear Westbrook. Leonard and Green are the two most important, cruelest, most unfair defenders in the league, and it isn’t close. Chicago lost its way, and by the end of the season, the Bulls were just throwing crap against the wall on offense — lifeless possessions with no purpose. Kanter is trying harder this season, and he can usually survive if the other team plays at least one traditional big man.
Somehow, it’s already time to hand out regular-season awards. Ed Davis
But on a night-to-night basis, Paul is the more calming, precise player, and he has to be on the ballot after keeping the Clippers afloat amid Blake Griffin’s injury melodrama.
There is more to winning basketball than shooting and scoring. He can play with any lineup, and against any lineup. Popovich tweaks the stylistic fringes to fit every new cast, and that’s why this second-place vote isn’t just a lifetime achievement trophy. He isn’t the only one responsible for building it, but he was the driver, and he’s one of the few who’s powerful enough to undermine it if he ever chose.
He likes to hang back on the pick-and-roll, inviting disaster against sharpshooters like Curry and Damian Lillard, who need only a sliver to unleash pull-up 3s upon turning the corner. 8 spot with a win over the tanking Kings.
Walker reinvented only one part of his game, but that single change — morphing into an above-average 3-point shooter — transformed everything for the Hornets. He can slide more easily between the two big-man positions, hang with guards on switches, and swat damn near everything around the basket.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
He’s also a better, more versatile defender — quick enough to guard any wing, and so long, he can dart in from the strong side to snuff a drive and veer back to a sharp shooter without conceding a thing. Who doesn’t?
Additional apologies to (deep breath): Barton, Crowder, Capela, Whiteside, Kent Bazemore, Zach LaVine, Allen Crabbe, Evan Fournier, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Lance Thomas, Khris Middleton, Marvin Williams, Reggie Jackson and many other nice people.
He has been Portland’s best big man; he plays a lot of crunch time, and has stepped into an even more important role with Meyers Leonard hurt and Noah Vonleh fading. He would be a star anywhere. Both guys can defend up a position, but Durant sliding to power forward opens more lineup possibilities than Westbrook muscling a shooting guard.
Leonard might be an even better one-on-one defender, though, and he could toggle between positions more often if Gregg Popovich demanded it. Leonard doesn’t think, or pass, two steps ahead of the defense, and he’s not strong enough to bulldoze his way to the rim every damn time. He hit 3s at nearly a league-average rate, led fast breaks and assisted on 18 percent of Denver’s buckets while on the floor — the fifth-best mark in history for a rookie big. He’s already a bright, shining plus at everything: post scoring, jump shooting, passing, defending the rim and scampering around in space. He might win, and he’d deserve it.
SIXTH MAN AWARD
He didn’t just maintain his per-minute stats over triple the minutes. Some smaller guys can fake it for a possession or two, provided some crisis — like a rebound bouncing in their direction — doesn’t happen. Being a low-key dude in Utah and Atlanta will do that.
Coming later this week: my picks for All-NBA, All-Rookie and All-Defense.
Davis’ 21 minutes drove Portland toward the unexpected. He empowered Curry to test the limits of his revolutionary game, sold stars on passing and cutting, convinced big names to sacrifice and gave everyone a voice in choosing strategies. But he’s plenty good, with a jumper that clicked as LeBron’s broke apart, and he has been the league’s second-best player.
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Creating a cohesive ethos that sticks is a rare thing. Thompson has been great, but the Cavs would have finished first or second in the East even if he had held out the whole season. But no other candidate has done enough in every facet of the game to unseat him — especially given Golden State’s historic success.
1. Millsap is averaging 1.7 blocks per game, by far a career high, and he’s the only rotation player in the league topping 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals per night.
He has also played 900 more minutes than Jokic, the equivalent of 19 full games, while shouldering a much heavier load; Jokic averages a hair fewer than 10 points per game, and sometimes looks reluctant to assert himself. Kawhi Leonard
3. Kristaps Porzingis
3. People don’t think of Millsap as an elite defender. Their ascension is almost expected. 2 option for the Knicks. LeBron James
4. But Kerr was very much present during his absence, especially when the Warriors were at home.
Whiteside doesn’t, though he has found another gear over the past three months. McCollum worked as Portland’s de facto backup point guard when Lillard rested, and the Blazers outscored opponents during those minutes, per NBA.com research. Paul Millsap
He’s still bad on defense, but not as bad as he once was. Patrick Patterson’s candidacy suffers from the same lack of raw production, but his 3-point shooting at power forward and ability to guard multiple positions make him a key part of almost every successful Toronto lineup. Post-up brutes do better against backups; dump the ball to Kanter against some second-unit sad sack, and he’s eating buckets. No one is. There was almost nothing in Mahinmi’s dossier to suggest he could work as the dive man in a semi-functional pick-and-roll offense. A lot of bench-heavy units are light on shot creators and need someone, anyone, to chuck when the shot clock dwindles. Jokic leads all rookies in adjusted plus-minus by a mile; he’s ninth in the whole stinking league, right ahead of DeMarcus Cousins! He’s an intuitive, nasty defender — better than you’d guess, given his ho-hum athleticism.
The Blazers snagging the No. 5 or No. McCollum
2. Everything about the Warriors — their style, their identity, their strut — emanates from his historically unprecedented shooting.
1. 3 spot will raise some eyebrows, especially in Miami, where Hassan Whiteside rejected everything in sight. Gentle reminder: I consider every speck of information — game film, public stats, secret stats I wrangle up, exchanges of intel with team officials — and I don’t hate your team.
But Curry and Leonard were already so damn good, they had only so far to leap. The Raptors love Casey and play hard for him. Crowder and Whiteside are matching what they did last season in more limited runs in Boston and Miami, respectively.
Millsap’s comfort zone extends across the full court, and every playing style. Players embraced those challenges, in part because they thought their coach and their superstar had already embraced them.
But those teams had more continuity in talent; we knew most of them would be at least decent. Crawford thrives with Paul, J.J. For all the angst over whether Leonard can generate offense when everything else stalls out in crunch time, he ranks among the league’s best one-on-one scorers — from both the perimeter and the post, per Synergy Sports research.
This is why, as queasy as it makes me, I can look past the fact that serious health issues kept Kerr off the sideline for half the season.
That left Durant, Westbrook and Paul for two spots. Redick and Jordan. The Warriors would have to reinvent their entire offense, and they might not be very good.
There are too many six-point, five-rebound nights for Davis to win this award, but he deserves a hard look. He also absorbed a larger burden during Griffin’s absence.
Still: Kanter gives back a lot of points, and the Thunder will have to cut his minutes against elite postseason offenses who target him like chum.
A word on the Leonard-LeBron debate: LeBron at full throttle is the better player, and perhaps still the best player in the league. Curry has been the best and most valuable player in the NBA — a glitch in the system who transformed a sport. He’s just not as good as these other guys.
You could give the third slot to at least two-dozen guys, but I’m going with Mahinmi, Indy’s only source of reliable front-line play over the full season. You trust Stevens’ play calling a bit more than Casey’s in crunch time.
1. An MVP sharpening skills-within-skills to transform into an historic superstar might be the hardest advance, and certainly the most unusual. Towns kills by those metrics, sources tell me, and he laps the field by most other public statistical measures.
Clifford reimagined Charlotte’s offense as a high-octane triple machine without conceding an inch on any of his conservative (basketball) principles: low turnovers, fast-break paranoia, and killer defensive rebounding. Evan Turner fills every gap for the Celtics.
Jabari Parker and Julius Randle are basically rookies. A lead ball handler polishing his long-range shot is the rare isolated skill development that ripples across an entire roster. He became a different player.
Two broad player types give me trouble here: the second-year guy who thrives with increased playing time, and the superstar who somehow becomes even better. Stotts placed cast-offs and unknowns around Lillard and forged a playoff team in Portland.
D’Angelo Russell combined hot shooting with beyond-his-years playmaking after finally earning Byron Scott’s trust, only to betray Nick Young’s and deflate the Lakers’ locker room.
He redefined the tone of the organization the moment he walked in the door. They help in one spot, bend away from another and return there before the offense even realizes anyone was open. It’s a big reason Charlotte gradually found its footing in those minutes when Walker leads the offense without Nicolas Batum as co-pilot.. The better team usually wins a best-of-seven series, and the best teams with the best players win championships.
So, screw it: I’m going with the blue-collar, unheralded Ed Davis — a journeyman who became essential for Portland, and has long slapped up per-minute numbers that blow away almost every other sixth-man candidate. No one else should get a first-place vote.
That is why Jamal Crawford is a two-time winner and such a popular candidate as he finishes this season with a flourish of crossover goodness. The first type is packed: Gary Harris, Doug McDermott, Clint Capela, Rodney Hood, JaMychal Green, Jerami Grant and many more. No one watches the Nuggets — not even in Denver. Kemba Walker
3. The drudgery of travel and in-the-moment decision-making are big parts of coaching. That is remarkable. When two bets in a row hit, it looks spectacular, and we laud Westbrook’s ability to bend the game to his will. They’re going to win mega-awards, anyway, and one of them will likely snag the championship.
Towns should win unanimously. Davis has better stats across the board: 61 percent from the floor as a basket vulture, the fourth-best offensive rebounding rate in the league and much better rim-protection numbers.
He’s not LeBron in those situations. Much of that gravitates from Stotts. Both will make a lot of ballots, and that’s fine.
Westbrook remains a manic gambler who submarines too many possessions with reckless choices. He sure scored a lot, though! Devin Booker got started too late, defended air and finished with an ugly — if understandable — uptick in turnovers. Jokic has more competition for minutes and touches, but it’s not as if he’s stuck in a loaded roster; the Nuggets are only four games ahead of Minnesota, and Jusuf Nurkic, one of Jokic’s main competitors for playing time, spent half the season injured and in Mike Malone’s doghouse.
Additional apologies to: Crawford, Turner, Patterson, Thompson, Mirza Teletovic, Jeremy Lin, Shaun Livingston, Dennis Schroder, Clint Capela, Ryan Anderson, Jrue Holiday, Darren Collison, Patty Mills, Cory Joseph, Manu Ginobili, Bismack Biyombo and Matthew Dellavedova.
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
1. Opponents for years clogged Charlotte’s dreary offense by ducking under screens against Walker, walling off his driving lanes and leaving the Bobcats/Hornets heaving up junk late in the shot clock. When Stotts asked Davis to defend power forwards so that Leonard could hang closer to the hoop against centers, Davis accepted the shift out of position — and busted his butt to make it work.
But you can’t make a case based on a single, all-in-one stat, especially one questioned by team insiders with access to the real secret sauce: analytics derived from SportVU tracking data. Nikola Jokic
Green is the firing brain circuitry of perhaps the greatest team ever, nearly as important to Golden State’s top-five defense as Curry is to their all-time offense. Not here.
Even so: There are matchups that trouble him. He doesn’t take possessions off. Casey, Clifford and Stevens were the final, painful cuts; all of them have real arguments for the top spot.
That leaves an impossible choice between Westbrook and Durant — a choice that almost seems unfair given the Thunder’s hit-or-miss supporting cast. The Magic still don’t know what in the hell they are.
Barton and Enes Kanter might represent superior versions of the classic Crawford candidacy. He finally made good. Brutes with touch and the heft to get into Whiteside’s body have done damage on the block; opponents have hit 51 percent of their post-up shots against him, per Synergy Sports research, 10th worst among 72 defenders who have faced at least 75 post-ups this season.
I lean toward Green because of his versatility — and especially his unique ability, at 6-foot-6, to credibly guard centers. Durant seized more possessions, dished more dimes and drove Oklahoma City to a better scoring margin in his non-Westbrook minutes than in the opposite scenario, per NBA.com research.
He gets those numbers without gambling, and he can guard any position in a pinch. Most of those chuckers can slide into a secondary role alongside starters in crunch time.
I understand if some readers might not be able to identify Jokic if he walked by them. Green and Curry lean on each other, and lift the team together, but the value gap between them is large enough to shove Green off this ballot.
There are seven candidates for the last four spots: the four listed, plus Russell Westbrook, Kyle Lowry and Draymond Green. Most of the Clippers’ bench mobs have stunk, anyway. Pair him with a drive-and-kick star like Westbrook or Durant, and Kanter morphs into perhaps the league’s pre-eminent scoring mooch — gobbling up drop-off passes and offensive rebounds when his man leaves to help on a Thunder stud.
None of the league’s perimeter stoppers — including Paul George and Jimmy Butler — matched the consistency of these three studs.
COACH OF THE YEAR
The only drama comes in the last four spots, which means it really doesn’t matter much for historical purposes. It’s like a 60-win team pushing for 70 the next season.
The fully engaged Warriors are a perfectly coordinated swarm. Even piss-poor bench lineups relying on such tough jumpers can redistribute some of those shots to other players, and not lose much. The NBA is considered the most predictable of the four major U.S. Steve Kerr
2. Popovich re-centered his offense around Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge without completely losing the pass-first mojo that powered the 2012-2015 versions of the Spurs borg; you especially see it on bench-heavy units. Gregg Popovich
3. Whiteside has been more diligent taking an extra step out toward such players over the past 40 games, but he’s wobbly — and vulnerable to blow-bys — outside his comfort zone.
But from start to finish, Leonard had the better season, for the better team. Houston found something last season as a carefree, go-go outfit, brought back the same cast and fell apart amid chemistry issues, laziness and a staleness of spirit. That culture of openness and community held up as Kerr recovered. He loosed Isaiah Thomas without worrying about his defensive limitations, encouraged Avery Bradley to chuck more 3s and pushed Jae Crowder to test his off-the-bounce game
At first, one of the main impediments to people getting online to gamble was funding their accounts. that resulted, fair or not, really took the wind out of the expansionary sails,” Krafcik said.
The industry still faces some nagging issues, as well as looming threats – including an effort in Congress to ban Internet gambling nationwide. Technology to ensure a player is actually within the state’s borders have reduced false rejections – initially a problem – to a negligible issue. And it’s keeping most outsiders from gambling illegally: only two people were found to have successfully placed bets from outside New Jersey since 2013, Rebuck said.
Online gambling revenue is increasing in at least two of the three states that currently offer it – New Jersey and Delaware. But for those that remain, Internet gambling often makes the difference between an up or a down month.
“The negative P.R. New Jersey has sought to partner with other states that might legalize it to offer larger, joint prize pools.

New Jersey Gov. The Restoration of America’s Wire Act has been introduced in both chambers this year, backed by billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, and could come up for a hearing next month.
San Francisco-based Gambling Compliance predicts either California or Pennsylvania will approve Internet gambling next year, followed by New York and Mississippi in subsequent years. Internet gambling market by nearly half, pegging it at $2.7 billion by 2020, down from an initial estimate of $5 billion.
“The market was smaller than a lot of people predicted, but the market is growing pretty nicely now,” said Tom Ballance, president of the Borgata, Atlantic City’s top casino and its leading online winner.

But a hoped-for wave of expansion has not happened as many states sit on the sidelines and assess the costs and benefits of the nascent industry.
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. PayPal also recently agreed to participate.
Delaware won $1.4 million in fiscal year 2014; $1.8 million in 2015, and $500,000 so far this fiscal year, which runs from July through June.
Internet gambling has generated $6 million in earnings for the Borgata over the first three quarters of this year, Ballance said.
PokerStars, the world’s largest Internet poker site, will begin operating in New Jersey in the first half of 2016, and many industry executives expect it to grow the market, though how much remains to be seen. In 2016, the group projects, nine states will consider legalizing it, though not necessarily act to approve it.
New Jersey began offering Internet gambling on Nov. “We’ll take that anytime.”
From a legal and consumer protection standpoint, Internet gambling has proven to be reliable and transparent, said David Rebuck, New Jersey’s top gambling regulator. 25, 2013, and took in $122 million in its first full year. In March, Morgan Stanley cut its estimate of the potential U.S. Officials confiscated the money in their accounts, totaling about $1,000.
“Internet gambling revenue in Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey badly missed initial forecasts, which themselves were overly aggressive,” said Chris Krafcik, research director for Gambling Compliance, which tracks gambling legislation nationwide.
In New Jersey, Internet gambling was seen as a lifeline to Atlantic City’s struggling casinos. (AP) — Internet gambling is slowly growing – but not expanding – after 2 1/2 years of online betting in the United States.. New Jersey says MasterCard is approving 70 percent of attempted Internet gambling transactions in the state, while Visa is at 62 percent. Many credit cards wary of running afoul of a law banning banks from funding illegal Internet bets were reluctant to process transactions, but that has changed. Chris Christie’s administration, for example, had initially estimated Internet gambling would bring in $1 billion in its first year. The third, Nevada, doesn’t report Internet revenue separately.
Nevada stopped reporting Internet gambling revenue as a separate item at the end of 2014. Less than a year after it began, four of its 12 casinos went out of business. Over the first 10 months of this year, the Atlantic City casinos have already equaled that total, with their Internet gambling revenue up 17.6 percent from the same period last year.
Online poker is the most popular form of Internet gambling, although the small number of states offering it has kept prize pools low. Online poker, the only brand of online gambling Nevada offers, is just a drop in the bucket of the state’s $11 billion gambling market.
“In Atlantic City, $6 million in profit is not easy to come by,” he said
The scenes on the anime are intense especially when its main characters are involved like Shouyou Hinata. Yowamushi Pedal
How did i forgot about this anime? I was already done editing this hub when I suddenly remembered about this anime. I did not have much knowledge about baseball prior to watching this anime, but after watching until its current season, had learned a lot about the sport.
You’ll definitely like the episodes with baseball matches since its just awesome. This cycling anime certainly had my attention and interest from the start. The star on this anime series is Sakamichi Onoda. They may often argue on various matters but in the court, their teamwork is a thing of beauty making them an unstoppable duo.
. Ace of Diamond/ Diamond no Ace
Kuroko repeatedly stated in the series that his playing style can be closely compared to a shadow which means he needs a huge source of light. It made me want to be a pitcher. My favorite character, Sawamura, Eijun would certainly make you laugh in most of the episodes. They simply persevere and work hard to be at their best and win. Good thing Taiga Kagami, an energetic forward who aspires to be the best in Japan joined the team alongside with Kuroko. Many are already getting hooked with the 2nd season. Kuroko is eager to defeat his former teammate’s respective teams and prove that basketball is not a game that can be won solely by individual talents.
This anime is popular for its originality since it focuses on swimming. He continues to develop his natural ability in cycling due to the help of his friends/teammates. Since its my favorite among these 3 anime series, I included a video of it below.
3. To the surprise of his former teammates, Kuroko enrolled in a newly established school named Seirin High. Haikyuu
4. The main character is Haruka Nanase who is of course a very good and talented swimmer. The good thing about this anime just like Yowamushi Pedal is that the characters are no superheroes and have no extreme capabilities. I think that main reason why this is getting popular are the characters of the anime.
2. Tetsuya Kuroko plays basketball like no other. FREE
This sport anime is cool. Most of us focus on shooting, dribbling, and dunking in this sport but he preferred to be an expert in passing. With his new team, he is hoping to get a win over his rivals.
1. One of Kuroko’s previous teammate taunted him to leave his team and joined theirs but he was disappointed. Many also commend it for great quality graphics. His goal is to become the ace someday and to prove his worth for the team (Seidou High)
At first glance, one would think that an anime about cycling would be boring, but glad to say that many of the people who thinks this way are wrong. Maybe it’s because I also have a deep fashion for the sport. The school’s basketball team is not weak yet they lack experience. His exceptional ability made him worthy of being the phantom 6th man of the team of Japan’s prodigy players during his junior high years. Sawamura is a pitcher, but he is not the ace of their team
